About Ummu Aisha Orphanage Centre
Founded in 2006, Ummu Aisha Orphanage Centre (UAOC) is more than a shelter — it is a sanctuary of hope, care, and opportunity for orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania. Operating under the Ansaar Muslim Youth Centre – Arusha Branch, UAOC is licensed as a Children’s Home under Licence No. 06422 (2025–2030).
Guided by Qur’an and Sunnah, every child is regarded as an Amanah(trust) from Allah. We nurture their spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth, empowering them with faith, knowledge, resilience, and life skills to succeed in this world and the Hereafter

A Growing Need: Supporting Vulnerable Boys
One of our biggest current challenges is the lack of a residential facility for boys. At present, boys under our care live with their widowed mothers or host families, while we provide school fees, learning materials, and mentorship. However, the need is growing, and our capacity is limited by lack of funding.
We dream of establishing a Boys’ Residential Home.Where vulnerable boys can access the same level of protection, care, and educational opportunities as the girls in our centre.
